Pure Pre-K Bliss!!!

For my Developmental Psychology class, I'm required to do 3 hours a week of volunteer work. But I feel like I'm cheating just a bit because I chose to do mine in Kaleb's Pre-K classroom. So not only do I get credit for my class, but I get to spend extra time with my littlest guy... most definitely a win-win situation!!!!

I'm not able to come until the end of the day, so they are usually having their afternoon snack when I come in. But then we have lots of fun listening to storybooks, playing hand games... and we even DANCE!!!

I couldn't help but notice the class fingerpainted today. As I was talking to his assistant teacher, Ms. Austin, I noticed one painting in particular. I pointed at it and told her, "Wow! This one is REALLY good!" She just laughed and told me it was Kaleb's!! Hahaha!!! :)

Here's a cute little video of Kaleb's class dancing to the 'ABC March.' Kaleb usually really gets into it, but towards the end you can see he gets a little more interested in fixing the sticker on his cheek instead. I am enjoying working in Kaleb's classroom SO much... and I've gotten some fun ideas!! All of the students have gotten to know me by name just as I've gotten to know theirs, and his teacher told me they ask her when I'm coming to visit. But the BEST part is... even more so, I know I'm going into the right profession for me!!!! I can't WAIT to teach!!! :)
